SUBJECT: Now entering Brains On headquarters.
MOLLY BLOOM: Hey, smarty pals. It's me, Molly. And I'm throwing a Valentine's Day breakfast party. Everything is pink, white, and red. I've got cranberry bread, and cranberry spread, smoked salmon cream cheese, pickled beets, rhubarb preserves, strawberries, and yogurt. Plus, I pulled out our photo booth and prop box. It's full of capes, sunglasses, wigs, oh, and a party horn.
[PARTY HORN]
Whoa. My first guest is here, Sanden Totten.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Sup, Molly Bloom. Rolling into the rager right on time. Team skateboard forever.
MOLLY BLOOM: Cool move, Sanden.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Thanks.
[SNIFFING]
Hmm. What's that smell? Oh, Is there a dish of fish around here?
MOLLY BLOOM: Just my smoked salmon cream cheese. Want a smear?
[LAUGHS]
SANDEN TOTTEN: Molly, did you just laugh? That did not sound like it--
[FLYING ARROW]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Ow. Molly, Is that a pair of aviator sunglasses in the prop box? Wow. With yellow transition lenses. Oh, those are gorgeous.
MOLLY BLOOM: Yeah. Try them on. You can use them in the photo booth.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Did somebody say photo booth?
MOLLY BLOOM: Ruby Guthrie, welcome to our Brains On Valentine's Day breakfast bash. Want some pickled beets?
[LAUGHS]
RUBY GUTHRIE: That was a strange laugh, Molly. Are you--
[FLYING ARROW]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Sweet Apollo's lyre. Is that a pair of rainbow suspenders?
MOLLY BLOOM: Sure is. Try them on.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Oh, rainbow suspenders, how like nature's gift you are, shimmering in my mind's eye, exuding love of all stripes.
MOLLY BLOOM: Ruby?
SANDEN TOTTEN: Oh, sunglasses, how shady you are, shading my very soul from the ravages of the sun's harsh rays.
MOLLY BLOOM: Earth to Sanden.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Shall I wear thee on my head, or on the bridge of my nose? So many places for me to hold you, my sunglasses.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Never fear, I'm putting you on, sweet suspenders.
MOLLY BLOOM: OK. Sorry, smarty pals. I think our friends have fallen in love with some awesome items in the photo booth prop box.
CUPID: It was me, Cupid, known for slinging my arrows and making people fall in love. But today, I thought I'd lean into my trickster side and make your friends fall in love with clothes. [LAUGHS]
RUBY GUTHRIE: (SINGING) You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
Rainbow suspenders
I love you
SANDEN TOTTEN: (SINGING) L is for the way you look on me
O is for the only sunglasses I see
MOLLY BLOOM: OK. This is a little bit of an issue. You see, all they want to do is serenade accessories, but I made all of this food and I need someone to eat it. Are you hungry, Cupid?
CUPID: Sorry, cupids don't eat, except for juice box is an orange slices after our soccer games against the leprechauns.
MOLLY BLOOM: Then I'm going to have to ask you to put Sanden and Ruby back to their normal levels of affection for suspenders and sunglasses.
CUPID: There's only one way to do that, Molly Bloom. And that's a--
SUBJECT: Ha-ha, who-ah.
SUBJECT: Sneak attack.
MOLLY BLOOM: Hey, How did you get that?
CUPID: Ruby, Sanden, attention please. Your sneak attack is ode off. An ode is a love poem. For this challenge, you both have to come up with an ode to your beloved object friends on the fly. I'll be judging you on the creativity of your word choice and the poetry of your performance. Sound good?
SANDEN TOTTEN: Challenge accepted. Don't worry my darling, aviators. My words will sound off like a trumpet in the treetops.
[BLOWING RASPBERRIES]
RUBY GUTHRIE: But my words will fly to higher heights like birdsong. Ka-aa.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Never.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Forever.
CUPID: Sanden, you're up. Deliver your ode to sunglasses.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Oh, aviator sunglasses,
You are the perfect thing for the masses,
You've got big shady lenses,
Looking good on people and henses,
And even the lowly worms won't be offended if they were to wear thee,
Oh, aviator shades,
I love you so much in spades,
And when thou doth on my face, nothing could take I place,
I want to throw you parades,
CUPID: Ruby, your turn. Let's hear your ode to your rainbow suspenders.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Rainbow suspenders,
Colorful straps that do bend my pants into place, defying time and space
MOLLY BLOOM: Yes.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Keeping gravity at its pace,
And my pants in place,
Did we rhyme that already?
[LAUGHTER]
Red, purple, blue, green, and yellow,
I do be looking like a dapper fellow,
CUPID: Those were beautiful odes. So beautiful that I released thee from my spell.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Whoa. What happened? Oh, hey, Ruby. Nice suspenders.
RUBY GUTHRIE: Oh, thanks. I love your shades, Sanden. Oh, and look at this amazing spread. Past the pickled beets, please.
SANDEN TOTTEN: Ooh, and cranberry bread with cranberry cream cheese. Don't mind if I do.
MOLLY BLOOM: Thanks, Cupid.
CUPID: Anytime, Molly.
[LAUGHS]
[FLYING ARROW]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
MOLLY BLOOM: Oh, look at this beautiful, fluffy, fake mustache. Oh, it's so bushy. And look at the way it looks when I put it on. My, my, my, you are a dapper mustache. Yes, you are. I love you.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
And that's it for this Smarty Pass episode.
